Fun and Educational!
We will start our day at Niquia Station, where we will pick you up, its only a half hour drive to our farm from there. We will stop at our neighbors cacao plantation to see the trees and talk with the farmer, you will get to taste the sweet pulp surrounding the bean, and all the different stages of the bean. Upon arrival to our facility, you will tour our small factory to see the machinery we need to create the chocolate, and you will get your hands in there to make some of your own chocolate. Depending on the day, we may make molded chocolates, truffles or chocolate bark. You can customize your chocolates with everything from chili peppers to mint! Then Samuel will weave the stories of the ancestors while you try a cup of ceremonial cacao. And to finish up the tour, we will taste and explore the different regions and flavors that Origen Cacao offers. After the tour, lunch will be provided, and you are free to enjoy our land, there is a crystal clear river to swim in and explore, or if you prefer, you may lounge by our pool and soak up some sun. We have an exotic plant nursery, walking paths, ducks and geese, fancy chickens, and plenty of natural wildlife. Iguanas, toucans, and birds of all colors have been spotted on our farm. We will take you back to Niquia station when we are done.
