Heart of the Boa: San Roque
Welcome to Territorio de Origen, our lush Andean reserve where ancient traditions meet new beginnings. We’re not just a farm; we’re a living, breathing community, a sanctuary where cacao, nature, and people thrive in harmony. Here, the land isn't just a resource—it's our home. We are the guardians of the forest and the water, and we are guided by a shared legacy of care, respect, and love. Through our cacao, we share this love with you.
There's a special kind of magic in the cacao from our very own land, the Territorio de Origen Nature Reserve. This 300-acre paradise is full of rushing rivers, curious monkeys, and wild parrots that greet us every morning. This is not just a farm; it’s a place of new beginnings and hope for the future. For us, this cacao is a powerful symbol of love.
Within our medicine community and on the land of the Territorio de Origen, the boa holds profound spiritual significance, and we are honored by their presence here. We see this powerful serpent not as a creature to be feared, but as a living symbol of transformation, ancient wisdom, and the healing cycles of nature. In the ceremonies of our Amazonian allies, the spirit of the boa is revered as a guardian of the ayahuasca journey. It is often experienced as a guide, helping participants navigate the deepest parts of their consciousness, shedding the old skin of their ego and past traumas to be reborn. The boa's grounding energy connects us to the pulse of Mother Earth, reminding us that we are deeply intertwined with the forest, the rivers, and every living thing that coexists here. In this way, the spirit of the boa is a fierce yet gentle protector of our sanctuary, a guardian of our collective healing journey, and a bridge between the physical world and the spiritual realms revealed by the sacred vine.
We are the world's only dedicated farm for ceremonial cacao. As a medicine community, we infuse this entire reserve with our spiritual connection, and the spirit of Cacao is ever-present. It guides us as we care for the land—cacao is a way of life.
A Community of Care, from Tree to Cup
Our journey with cacao is truly a labor of love, from the very beginning. As a community, we work together to care for the 5,000 cacao trees on our land. We harvest and ferment the beans with meticulous care, and we gently transform them in our factory, right here on the reserve.
To protect this sacred space, we grow everything organically. We follow the ancient wisdom of agroforestry, ensuring our farm works in perfect harmony with the natural ecosystem. Our methods are a true collaboration with nature, blessed by Mamos and Elders to maintain the balance of all life here.
Beyond our cacao, we also have coffee, bananas, pineapples, and exotic fruit and nut trees and are actively planting more food to build a sustainable future. We are building homes and community spaces, with the hope that you will visit us one day. We want to welcome you to this amazing planet we call home, so that together we can work on protecting more of it.
When you enjoy our farm grown cacao, we hope you can feel the love and connection we’ve poured into it. We hope you will visit us one day and experience the sanctuary for yourself.
We hope it reminds you that a better world is possible, and that it is already flourishing here. We can't wait to share it with you.
